Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Hey guys it's your Colombian Mami. I have only been modeling for about a year, but I'm loving
every part of it. What started as a fun photo shoot for a fitness ad has changed into so much
more. I have really learned a lot about myself and realized that modeling is my passion and I am
very determined to make it big.
Where were you born and where did you grow up?
I was born in Bogotá, Colombia and adopted as a baby by an AWESOME Family. My life has been
nothing but perfect. I grew up mainly in New Jersey and Connecticut and a little in South
Florida, but Philadelphia is my hometown right now.
How did you get into modeling?
On the real I used to be a "fatty" and no...not a thicky...a fatty. I was kind of the ugly duckling
turned beautiful, both inside and out. Modeling started as doing a before/after photo shoot for
a fitness ad. My photographer saw a lot more in me at that shoot. He said he really thought I
worked well in front of the camera and from there, we started shooting other stuff. He really
inspired me to go in a variety of directions and from there it just took off.
What do you like most about modeling?
I love being in front of the camera. It's so much fun being that girl that you were always pointing
at in magazines, but now you are that girl. To me it's not even a job.
How do you spend your time when you're not modeling?
I do promotional work with NUVO, work at Victoria's Secret part time, hang out with friends and
try to learn new things. I love working out at the gym and I am also a school teacher. I keep
busy.
What is your best physical feature?
My legs and my face.
What is the first thing that attracts you to a guy?
A cute face and EYES.
Describe your idea of a perfect date.
I'm really not picky. We can grab something to eat, go the movies and just get to know each
other better.
What type of beats do you like?
I like Hip Hop and R&B.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I used to be 215 pounds.
What can we expect from Cristina Popowski in 2010?
More exposure, magazine covers, videos and I am working on my website.
Any last words to your supporters and future fans?
I just want to thank everyone who has supported me along the way. I know most of you saw me
where I am now when I never did and always wanted to give up. I want to especially thank Frank
and my photographer Kevin Lacy for keeping me on track and believing in me.
